Stress test: the newlywed holiday card

The holiday season is filled with joy and laughter, but after December 1 it’s crunch time! Depending on how involved you are in the tradition, there can be a significant amount of pressure surrounding a holiday card—especially for newlyweds.  There’s even a FRIENDS episode dedicated to this, where Ross freaks out when Mona wants to send a holiday card after two months of dating! Ha…anyway, here are some things you may not have considered, all to help you avoid the holiday card woes!
Things to consider:
—Wedding photo or not?
The most obvious answer would be to use a photo from your wedding. Chances are your mailing list is pretty similar to the guest list from your wedding. Does everyone want to see something they’ve already seen before?? (As cute as it is)
—Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!
Also consider whether you or your hubby have made any drastic changes since the wedding. We know one bride who went from blonde to brunette and shed 15lbs between her wedding and Christmas!
—a wedding remix
If you really want to bring back wedding memories, perhaps to show those who couldn’t make it to the ceremony, why not mix it up? Gather some “never before seen” photos from your and your guests’ cameras and make a collage of fun snapshots—of course, you wouldn’t have to dig very far if you have a wedding capsule set up ;)
—holiday theme
If you got married in another season, bright-colored bridesmaid dresses might not give off the holiday vibe you want. Here’s a chance to snuggle up and take a pic by the fire.
Above all, don’t worry about sending out a photo that others want or expect. Your third cousin in Maine just wants to see you two love birds happy and joyful!
‘Tis the season. Smile!

Wedding Couples in Need of Photography Insurance?

As all married couples and spouses-to-be know firsthand, it is important to expect the unexpected when it comes to your wedding.  A new realm of unexpected is making its way onto the wedding scene these days…who would ever think to purchase photography insurance in case of extreme photobombing occurrences?

The Huffington Post Wedding blog asked wedding photobomb victims to submit their best ones.  If you’re looking for Christmas card or fireplace mantle-worthy photos these might not be it, but they’re hilarious!! And after all, as many of Capsule’s clients experience post-wedding, the best photos taken at weddings are usually the ones nobody thought would get caught on camera ;)

Summer Vacation Recommendation: Guyana, South America

The place: Guyana, South America

The experience: 2 days alone in the South American rainforest.

The Bushcraft survival course isn’t your typical summer getaway. You and a small team will hike into the South American Amazon and create a camp. You stay with your team for about a week, training and preparing for the ultimate challenge: Surviving alone for 2 nights in one of the most inhospitable locations on the planet—the kind of place where you’d find Capsule’s very own Cyrus Farudi.

While on your own, you will be stripped of most modern conveniences—that means no photo sharing with CapsuleCam. Sorry, folks.

You’d be in close proximity with other team members, but not close enough to meet. You will also be under the watchful eye of the natives who live in the forest and will be acting as your personal guardians.

The plus side of this trip: It is very affordable in comparison to other intercontinental vacation plans, such as touring Europe. And it is incredibly challenging and self fulfilling. Leave behind all of your modern day conveniences and live as wildly as your ancestors once did.

Find information for the tour here

Happy Monday,

Capsule

Imagine you find yourself at an awesome event with these glasses on. It would be so awesome to create a capsule with the glasses for the event and then open up CapsuleCam in the glasses , so you could start enjoying an incredibly unique photo sharing experience. Awesome.

If these were too be released to the public in the near future, would you buy yourself some Google Glasses?

Let us know in the comments!

Along the way

One of greatest features of Capsule’s design is its versatility and ability to flawlessly complement other event apps. We are fairly stoked to pair up Capsule with the upcoming road trip app, Along The Way.

We’ve always seen Capsule as an amazing tool for road trips and Along The Way can really help liven up the drive to give you more material to aim your CapsuleCam at, as it highlights awesome places that you drive by.

Take some time out of the year to go hit the open road and create an amazing photo album of your journey.

Best,

Capsule

Winter has come to a close, and with it has come the end of all winter related activities: snowboarding, skiing, sledding, etc… But Spring’s good weather has brought to life the possibility of participating in some seriously fun and bright activities such as paragliding!

Soaring over the beautifully green scenery, snapping some pictures with CapsuleCam, instantly photo sharing or just creating a lovely album of your time in the sky for yourself. Go out and be adventurous this spring; make some time to experience something amazing.

Best,

Capsule

Come Together! Arrange your protest with Capsule

Organize your next big protest with Capsule. You can plan the protest months ahead of time and keep everyone up to date with what is going on from that moment onward.

Protest are very large events and need a high level of communication amongst the group to keep things moving smoothly. Our mass communication tools such as our group texting feature can help you send a text message to every single person at the rally for any critical update or morale boost.

With CapsuleCam, everyone protesting can instantly begin photo sharing photos of what is going on around them. The photos in the capsule will let everyone else know what what is happening and where it is happening.

Capsule can provide protest organizers the same social media tools they are familiar with, while also supplying them with extra features that can actually be put to good use during the event; very unlike many other event planning apps that are only good for the before and after phases of the protest *cough* Facebook events *cough*

Stay golden,

Capsule

Capsule for nature enthusiastic businesses

Running an outdoorsy business where you guide a group out into the wild to capture nature’s beauty is a lot of fun. With Capsule, you can make every trip with your clients incredibly memorable while also helping your business grow.

Start a capsule for your next group of nature enthusiast and have everyone join. With the aid of our mass communication tools, planning and keeping a group meeting up to date is very easy. Once on the trip, have everyone snapping pictures with their phones do so with CapsuleCam. This way everyone can enjoy the wonders of instantaneous photo sharing. Every photo taken by every person in attendance will be immediately uploaded into the capsule. The capsule essentially shifts from being a tool to efficiently plan an event to a personal photo album for your customers to enjoy post-journey.

You can now show your good looking capsules full of awesome photos and conversations to potential customers to show them what the experience of taking an adventure with you will be like. You can also revisit the capsule and let past customers know that you are planning on having another similar trip out with another group of great people and that you would love for them to join. Essentially growing your list of contactable customers, while also being aware of what type of trips they are interested in.

Yours truly,

Don’t let your party get shot up! Use Capsule.

“The party-goer told police someone posted on Facebook that a party was taking place at the address, and the next thing he knew, a lot of people showed up that the host didn’t know.”

You throw a party for your circle of friends. You post the address on your buddy’s wall. A group of local thugs see the event and decide to attend. Long story short, one of them ends up shooting up your house.

What the hell is that about?!? Who shows up to a party, completely uninvited, gets punched in the face, and then shoots up the house? Scumbag Steve, that’s who. Nothing can derail your party like an uninvited thug with a gun—uninvited thug sounds like it would be the name of a rap song; the theme would be loneliness in the hood—I digress.

Want to know how to keep these lonely gangsters out of your rocking house party? Use Capsule. Don’t publish your event to thousands of creepers on your Facebook page. Use our event planning app. You can privately invite your circle, and give the option for them to invite friends, but unwanted company won’t be able to stumble across your event and decide to head over with their gun in their pocket.

Aside from privacy, you can also have a lot of fun with Capsule and it’s mobile companion, CapsuleCam. With CapsuleCam, photo sharing is instantaneous and fun. And if someone decides to shoot a few rounds into your place, you can instantly share their identity. So brave!

Shoot photos not guns,

Capsule
